This position serves as the Municipal Court clerk and as Ocean View Cemetery Administrative Clerk.
Customer service duties include answering phones, assisting customers at the front counter, providing information and answering basic questions related to financial services or customer accounts, processing payments, and reconciling the till.
SCHEDULE The regular schedule for this position is full-time, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:
00AM - 5:
00PM.
The schedule is 9:
00AM - 6:
00PM on Wednesday to accommodate Municipal Court proceedings in the evening.
KEY QUALITIES Knowledge of general accounting, mathematical and bookkeeping best practices.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to double check work.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Ability to exercise emotional intelligence, to be kind and compassionate with families dealing with a recent loss.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Advanced skills in using standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and fax machines including use of software such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
PAY $23.
12-28.
10 per hour.
Pay rate will depend on experience.
